Rx Medical Web formerly known as Empire Essentials Marketing and still following the leader...

Following up to an earlier post I made a few months back about a new web design company that entered into the medical industry and decided to flat out copy my company's website (www.medicalwebexperts.com) site structure, targeted keywords and even content. Well since then this company changed their name. Formerly known as Empire Essentials Marketing this new brainchild is now Rx Medical Web (www.rxmedicalweb.com). From what I can tell this isn't even their actual company name, maybe its a DBA, but in any case they're probably planning on changing it again at some point as it seems they don't really want to get creative and build a website with their own ideas.

(I'm still flattered by the way. Maybe even more flattered as our site must be so good that even though they know that we know that they copied our site they still can't help but keep on copying.)

Outside of general similarities and jumbled content, here's the most striking similarity:

Rx Medical Web Footer - 10/13/2011

Medical Web Experts Footer - 10/13/2011

Lets see how things pan out for this operation. Either way, its a long climb up Rx Medical Web!

    1. Alex Williams, you should be ashamed of the service you provided building our web site under Empire Essentials and Rx Medical Web. Horrible experience!!

  2. Hmm I personally see common web design techniques. When I googled web design companies almost all them have similar footer items. Who is to say you didn't copy. I think it is funny coming from a "web developer" that you blog about your "competitor" and give out a free back link. Nice post! ;)

Seems as if your scared of your competition, so you talk bad about them. Great business man.

  4. Interesting posts considering that these obviously come from Rx Medical Web. Lets take a second though to talk about the facts...

Fact #1: Rx Medical Web used to be Empire Essentials Marketing, a company which blatantly copied my company's website, then when I wrote about it, the company changed the name and made the necessary website design changes to make it not look as much like our site.

Fact #2: Yes, the footer style is common among other websites, but isn't it odd that it is so similar, even to the point of two columns of specialties, 4 call to action buttons, similar social buttons in the same place, list of products (referred to as services in Rx Medical Web)? This might all be fine if Rx Medical Web was in a different industry, but not only are they in the same industry, they have a documented history of blatantly copying my company's website.

Fact #3: Our website is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. You're welcome to look into if we copied Rx Medical Web.

Alex, it'd be helpful for other readers if you could let everyone know who you're employed by and if you're representing Rx Medical Web in these comments. Fabricated comments posted after your comment, clearly sourcing from your company doesn't reflect well on your company's efforts in trying to prove a point.

    1. Hi John
I am embarrassed to admit that I am a sucker that fell for their services. Working with Empire Essentials and now its called Rx Medical Web. Alex Williams is one of them that provided horrible service, their whole staff was horrible!!

BEWARE!! This has been a horrible experience dealing with this company. They charged for the web site design and it took months and many phone calls with very poor designs to get them to assemble the current web site. Lost our email service. We had to deal with multiple staff members with attitudes and managers/owners who could care less. Lots of staff turnover in that company. Setup analytics with Google with access to all of their clients visible. Now they have cancelled the service. They have a nice convincing website but they do a HORRIBLE job!!
